Stamping Cards
Stamping Cards
Sustrans operates a Stamping Scheme whereby you keep a record of your trip by getting a card stamped at various points along the C2C cycle route. Stamping points are chosen for their proximity to the route, longer opening hours and likelihood of being able to meet cyclists' needs; indeed one local post office even offered to post home cyclists dirty clothes! The C2C is now the only route which operates the stamping scheme.
At present the C2C stamping points are located at Whitehaven, Cleator Moor, Cockermouth, Keswick, Penrith, Alston, Nenthead, Stanhope, Consett, Chester-le-Street, Sunderland and Tynemouth although you only need to collect six of these stamps depending on your choice of start and finish points.
