Start your cycling holiday or short break the stress-free way with DFDS Seaways. The leading North Sea ferry operator, DFDS Seaways, offers two UK routes from Harwich to Denmark and Newcastle to Holland that both allow the transportation of bikes.  

DFDS Seaways recognises the growing importance of "green travel" to our customers and has welcomed cyclists onboard for many years. Those arriving with their bikes can check-in, cycle onboard, store their bike in the ships' hold and then relax onboard.  

Enjoy the unique onboard cruise-ferry experience a great way to start your break! Relax and unwind with all that DFDS Seaways has to offer including restaurants, bars, shops and entertainment. A good night's sleep onboard will ensure you arrive refreshed at your port destination ready to continue your journey.  

Cycling in Holland is a breath-taking experience, savour fields in bloom to wide rivers and windmills. The routes are flat with very few hills in Holland and the Veluwe forest is a popular cycle route and is well worth a trip! Cycling is a way of life in Holland with nearly everyone owning a bike or two!  

In Denmark, cycling is the perfect way to enjoy the amazing scenery of the coastal resorts as you are never more than 45 minutes away from the sea! A truly exhilarating bike ride.  

On all DFDS Seaways routes there is a small transportation charge of only £5 per bike per way all year round, if you cycle onboard. If you are taking your bicycles on a bike rack attached to the back of your car, there is no additional charge for the bike, you just pay for the transportation of the car.
