This 18th century farmhouse is comfortable and friendly and all rooms are furnished in keeping with period. The bedrooms have some aded luxuries, however, such as hospitality trays, hairdryers, TV and armchairs. Good wholesome breakfasts are provided using Local produce and homemade bread and jams. An extensive evening meal menu is available on request, to be ordered in advance (there is also a good local pub which serves excellent food). Little Blencowe Farm is a mixed dairy and sheep farm with the milking of 150 Ayrshire cows being the main enterprise.

Delightful stone built early 18th century farmhouse once part of the Greystoke (Tarzan) estate. A long gravel drive leads up to two ponds and differing levels of terraces and patios surround the house. There are magnificent views towards Ullswater and east across the Pennines. Early starts are catered for as breakfast comprises a generous continental selection. Susan runs a pony trekking centre at Ullswater for those wishing to switch saddles or take a break.
